What does Maine mean to me

If you know me you know I love this state more than my hometown 🤪. Growing up and being an only child I got to experience things differently because I was an only child. My mom spent all of her summers there and thats where I have spent all of mine. I love going to Maine I love the people, the beaches, local shops, and the food. When COVID happened in March I was very thankful that I got to go every weekend, my friends would call me “hey what you doing this weekend?” or “you want to go to the beach?” I would laugh and say “I don’t know I might go to Maine this weekend.” I never knew what the weekends would hold I never knew if I was heading to Maine on a random Tuesday or heading to Maine on a Saturday to go to the beach. I love exploring and going to new places. During my first semester of my freshman year of college we would talk about what we did over the weekend and my friends would laugh and say we don’t need to ask you what you did we saw your instagram story. My best friend who I met is from New York and she wanted to go Maine because of how much I talk, post about it. During the Summer and Fall between my aunt who was visiting from out West to friends of ours from church and to bringing my friends and going up with my cousins this past Christmas I would have to say I went up at least 100 times from March through December if not more. Every-time I post something I always #eastcoasting⚓️, When I get really stressed or I need to escape ME is my escape. every time we go up we always do something new and there is always a new adventure no trip is the same.

My typical summer day is: Wake up early (if you know me you know I am not an earlier morning riser but I will always get up early for ME), stop and get my Dunkin’ Coffee and my bagel, hit the road with some good tunes especially some Morgan Wallen and my country playlist, get to the house I will always go for a walk around our property and take photos and take in God’s Country. I love doing projects and every-time I go up I always have a project I want do or have an idea and I try and execute it.

I will work until lunch grab lunch and then I will sit on the floor(yes on the floor I love sitting on the floor of the porch and I will scroll through Pinterest(checkout my Pinterest here)and I will make a list of DIY Projects. My friend who lives up there she will stop by at the farm and we will hang out.

Around 3 or 4pm I will go to the beach and spend the rest of the afternoon at the beach. Fun fact I hated the beach when I was younger I just started liking the beach over the summer and I started going in the water! There’s this great restaurant near the beach that we go to and its also on the way out of leaving ME. There was one near our house that closed but when I was two months old it was the first restaurant I been to its called the weathervane it has everything seafood, meat, pasta, the best desserts.
