You may have heard about simple syrup in drinks, desserts, coffee!
I love simple syrup its so easy and simple 😉 I make it for my mocktails, or for cocktails if your legal age! I love keeping it in a Glass Syrup Bottle with a Pourer! You can find it here on Amazon! Or a mason jar your choice!
Simple syrup is equal parts water and sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 sugar
If you want a richer taste:
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan set over medium heat.
- Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Let cool, then pour into a glass jar and seal tightly with a lid or a pretty jar like I linked above!
- Simple syrup will keep, refrigerated, for about one month.
If you wanted to add vanilla to it perfect for old fashions or coffee
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Add water and sugar to a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Let cool, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Strain into a jar or bottle and seal tightly with a lid
