Exciting Things Are Happening…

Happy Monday Everyone! It’s crazy to think that Easter is this week and you know that I am enjoying this weather!! I am so excited that I was offered to do a podcast for EncourageHer… If you have been following me from the beginning, then you know that I became a Brand Ambassador for the brand and you know what I am talking about! If you are new here then welcome I will tell you a little bit about this brand. EncourageHer is a faith based women athletic clothing company that encourages other women through quotes!

EncourageHer reached out to me to talk about a “Hard Thing” for the series “You Can Do Hard Things”, we all have dealt with and are continuing to deal with certain things whether its a nasty breakup, losing a family member/friend etc… I started thinking what I wanted to talk about I didn’t want to talk about your typical high school breakup or something that is only temporary. I wanted to talk about something that I continue to deal with till the day I die!

If you know me you know my right eye is slightly closed and surgeries have been in my vocabulary since I was three and I just had a recent procedure this past January! I wanted to talk about something that I continue to deal with day in and day out and I wanted to Encourage Others 😉. Nobody is perfect but my platform isn’t always about me its about Encouraging others and reminding you that Faith is Greater than Fear and I am so excited to be on this Podcast for EncourageHer!!

Check out my Instagram for when the Podcast goes live I hope everyone has a wonderful week and remember Encourage Each Other 🙂

I’m Back!!

Happy Monday everyone!! I know I’ve been a little MIA last week but thats college life and I am so happy its in the 60s today!! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the Spring weather. A lot has been happening in my life and I needed to figure some stuff out but hey thats life right!

A lot of you have been asking me about life and how I keep myself motivated when there is warm weather and only 7 weeks left of the semester! Truth be told my grades keep me motivated and knowing that as soon as I finish I get to head North to Maine and spend time up there! As for the warm weather it motivates me because I can work outside and be in the sun!! We are at the half way mark and I am starting to count down the weeks and assignments as I am getting them turned in!! As for goals my goal for this week is go to the gym everyday and push myself a little harder each day!!

Pretty soon in the next 2 weeks fingers crossed depending on school and papers but if I get all of my work done then I will be heading to my happy place and be able to escape! I am so grateful to be able to have an escape for a few days and enjoy breathing in the fresh air and take in the sun!!!

Whatever your goals are for this week remember to dig deep and nothing is impossible!!

TALKING ABOUT ALL THINGS AMERICAN, FREEDOM, & VETERANS

“Because of the brave, it’s the land of the free” from Ryan Weaver’s “That’s What America Means to Me.”

I am so excited to have a Country Music Artist & former Army Black Hawk Pilot on the blog! I want to introduce you to Mr. Ryan Weaver!

Ryan Weaver is a high-energy, all-American, rockin’ country music artist who proudly served as a Black Hawk Helicopter Aviator, Chief Warrant Officer 3, in the United States Army! He loves AMERICA JUST LIKE ME! In 2017, Ryan was announced as the Patriotic Voice of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) for their Celebrate America Campaign at the 2017 PBR World Finals at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2018 and 2019, Ryan toured across the U.S. and internationally to Australia with the PBR.

In 2019 Ryan did a little over a dozen concerts and speaking engagements from the US to Australia. In 2018 he sang at Madison Square Garden in NYC, AT&T Stadium in Arlington TX, Bridgestone Arena Nashville TN, He also sang at the Wallace Wade Stadium for the DUKE/ARMY football game at halftime, and he did the PBR World Finals at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

In 2019 he released 2 singles called Arrival in March and Time Like This in July. Ryan became a brand partner for Lane Boots in the spring of 2019. Ryan also became an official brand partner for Liberty Home Concealment “Heroes” line in August of 2019. In 2018 Ryan released EP Celebrate America along with a very patriotic music video for the single “Never Forgotten” to honor America’s fallen Military, Law Enforcement and First Responders. He appeared twice on The Huckabee Show on TBN May 19, 2018 and August 18, 2018. Ryan became an official endorsing artist and brand partner for Nine Line Apparel, and has since moved to Lima Charlie Clothing Company.

Ryan had some pretty Notable Performances:

Ryan Opened for some country artists I grew up listening to:

Charlie Daniels: 2014, 2015 and 2016

Craig Morgan: 2008

Blake Shelton: 2008

Montgomery Gentry: 2007

Trace Adkins: 2007

George Jones: 2006

MLB (Kansas City Royals)AFL (Tampa Thunder) PIFLMultiple NCAA sports, including West Point Football, Vanderbilt Soccer and Baseball he sang the National Anthem at all of these events.

I really need to talk about Ryan Weaver and who he is as a person! Ryan is not like any other country artist in country music today. He grew up with a family of eleven in a small town in Floral City, Florida, he joined the Army right after high school. After several years of working as a Military Intelligence Analyst, he followed in the footsteps of his two older brothers, Steve and Aaron, by attending Warrant Officer Candidate School and flight school. He graduated top of his class in flight school, becoming a Black Hawk Aviator. In April 2003, he deployed to Baghdad International Airport in Iraq. Shortly after, one of his brothers, Aaron, was deployed just west of him in Fallujah.

On January 8, 2004 Ryan’s life will never be the same and his world turned upside down. His brother Aaron was killed in action when the Medivac helicopter he was a passenger in was shot down by enemy fire. Ryan certainly understood mortality and the risks of combat…  After all, Aaron had survived the bloody 1993 battle in Mogadishu, Somalia – the same battle that became the basis for the movie, Black Hawk Down. When Aaron died, however, something changed for Ryan. He returned from combat, taking a new position training the next generation of Army aviators and officers at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Ryan has not piloted a Black Hawk since that fateful day.

On December 17, 2013 Ryan’s brother-in-law, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Randy Billings, was killed in action in Afghanistan when the Black Hawk helicopter he was piloting was shot down by an enemy ground-detonated explosive device.  This second heartbreaking loss made the Weaver family a two-time Gold Star family. Both of his brothers’ ultimate sacrifices continue to fuel Ryan’s fire to accomplish his dreams in music.

In late 2016, Ryan released the music video for his single “Burn,” featuring Kris “Tanto” Paranto and John “Tig” Tiegen from the movie 13 Hours: Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. “Burn” aired nationwide on The Country Network and Heartland, and internationally at over 5,000 retailers, restaurants, and entertainment venues throughout the end of 2016 and beginning of 2017. Ryan’s first music video “Crank It” played nationally on ZUUS Country TV and TNN/Heartland Network and spent 8 weeks on their Top 10 Video Countdown – a network record. In 2017, Ryan was named the Patriotic Voice of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) for their Celebrate AmericaCampaign.  The World Finals is the biggest global stage in professional bull riding – a booming sport now seen in more than 400 million homes worldwide. The Celebrate America Campaign is a season-long initiative that honors America’s heroes, inspires youth, and brings communities together.

Ryan made his debut in the primetime performance slot, which was previously held by Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler in 2016. At that time, the PBR officially launched Ryan as a PBR artist and debuted his new EP entitled Celebrate America.  Ryan worked closely with hit songwriter Wynn Varble on the Celebrate America EP, co-writing three of the four songs. He has toured the U.S. and internationally to Australia with the PBR in 2018 and 2019, performing his songs and singing the “National Anthem” at US events. He has several performances scheduled in Australia this year.

Ryan performed on the first single from the West Point Military Academy’s Benny Havens Band’s debut album Songs That Save Our Lives. The song was short-listed for GRAMMY Award consideration in the American Roots category. The album also featured Charlie Daniels.

(Did you want to say this twice?) Ryan released two singles in 2019 titled “ARRIVAL” and “Time Like This.” He is also conducting multiple motivational speaking engagements while promoting his partnerships with Lima Charlie Clothing Company, Lane Boots, Soledier Socks, Liberty Home Concealment and Forj’d America.

I don’t take a second of my freedom for granted because of Ryan’s family and plenty of other retired, active-duty fight for our freedom and freedom doesn’t come free. I have tons of family, friends who have served and I WILL ALWAYS SAY THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! They give up so much so we can sleep at night and not have to worry! I am so excited and honored to have Mr. Ryan Weaver on here.

Before COVID I was volunteering at our veterans’ home once a month, I am an auxiliary member at the American Legion! My grandfather served World War 2 I have friends in Army, Marines, Cost Guard, all branches. My cousin is just finishing up basic training. I am so proud of them all. I never want YOU to take your freedom for granted because someone is sacrificing there life on the line, so you get to enjoy it. Remember nothing is free in this world everything comes with a price even YOUR FREEDOM!

I want to thank Ryan Weaver for being on this week’s blog! Please be on the lookout on my social media about us doing an Instagram live sometime this week!!!

Friday Q&A: Talking About Everything

Happy Friday, its very windy and chilly today here in CT! A lot of exciting things happening on the blog and in my life. I hope everyone has a good weekend and I hope everyone is doing some exciting things. I will be studying and catching up on some shows! xx

1. What have you learned about yourself from starting your blog along with sharing your stories with people?

I have learned a lot about myself from starting GraceFullyGrace I learned that what you put into it you get out of it. I learned that not every post is going to be peoples favorites and thats ok. I have also learned that I’m not here to please everyone I can’t do that. I love sharing my stories with people thats how we learn and grow. I love showing everyone MY point of view I’m not here to change beliefs, I’m not here to change you. I am here to be only REAL and be HONEST.

2. How important is being passionate about something like this, to continuing this journey?

I have to be 100% passionate because its a labor of love! DO NOT get me wrong I love that I have this. However its a lot of work and it takes planning time management and most of all it takes LOVE and PASSION. I wouldn’t have this if it wasn’t for those two things. Its like anything else your gonna put your mind to something you enjoy rather than something you don’t.

3. What is one thing you want to have by the time you’re 25?

I am not one to put a time frame on anything I like to live in the moment and not take a moment for granted. If I had to choose by the time I was 25 would be in Maine living my best life.

4. What do you envision the future of this blog as being? How has this inspired you in your daily life?

I have envisioned this blog to be the place where you can escape and be a place where you can relate! I also want this is to be the place where I can talk about things that are meaningful in my life. I will I always choose the side of right whatever that looks like even if it isn’t cool or popular. I have always stride to be better than I was yesterday! This inspires me to be authentic and real even if I want to hide.

5. What is a piece of advice you’d give someone seeking to start on the same path you did?

It depends on the path but my biggest piece of advice would be BE YOU! I know that sounds so cliché but it’s true. I would rather surround myself with people who are honest and authentic and may not be so popular than be around people who are fake, mean and “the cool kids” I know people who are fake and all of that but I DON’T TRUST THEM! BE KIND everyone even if they aren’t kind to you. Everything I do I do with a smile on my face!

6. What is one thing you PRIDE yourself on?

I pride myself on a lot of stuff the one thing I really PRIDE myself on is I’m nice to everyone and everything I do I do with a smile on face! I can’t tell you how many times I have been stopped by teachers, strangers, friends saying thank you for smiling to me. To me that makes my day because one act of kindness can go a long way!

7. Every time I see your Instagram lives or photos you post you always have three rings on what are they? Do they represent anything?

If you have been following me for awhile and know me personally I wear 3 three rings and 5 bracelets and 1 necklace in total I wear 9 pieces of jewelry I do not take it off ever except surgeries I shower, sleep, swim, workout, demo work. You name it I do it in them. The 3 rings I wear one is an anchor ring I wear that one on my right ring finger, I wear my newest ring on my middle finger on my right hand and my button ring on my middle left hand. The meaning behind the anchor is for my poppy, the meaning behind my newest ring is there are two waves and they connect and it doesn’t matter which way you wear it because its the same I got it in Maine so it reminds me of the HOME! For my button ring my mom got it for me but no matter how hard you try to open it won’t open and you can inly see the front.

8. How has it been like for you to open up and put your self on the internet?

I have always been an open book on MOST things there are somethings I will not talk about because A its to painful B I don’t want it on the internet. However I get to choose what I put on the Internet and talk about. IF I was dating a guy I would not talk about him/post about him because its no ones business.

9. Will you ever post more about Maine?

YES 100% I plan on posting a lot this summer and I am so excited to share that adventure with y’all! STAY UP TO DATE on my social media.

10. Are you glad you created GraceFullyGrace?

100% I thank God every night that he has put certain people in my life for this journey and I get to be living my best life! I have connected with so many amazing small business, partnered with brand deals that I would never dream of! Stay tuned for tomorrows post a very special someone is joining the family of the blog!

Monday Motivation New Week and New Month!

Happy Monday everyone and the first day of March! How is everyone’s Monday going? Any goals you want to crush this week or month? I know I do! I am so excited there are so many exciting things happening here on the blog and in life.

If you have been following me for a while you know how much I love goals and crushing them! I am all about if you can believe you can YOU CAN! I want to talk about something that someone once said that has stuck with me for a while. Growing up and playing golf I could not putt for the life of me and I was always comfortable in everything else, my coach looked at me and said “Grace don’t be so 1 dimensional” I have always looked at my life like golf because its the only game closest to life. I never want to be 1D I want to be able to putt, chip, drive farther than yesterday and live outside my comfort zone!

Ok my little story time is over now but in all seriousness I want you to be able to grow outside your comfort zone. I was so scared to putt because I was horrible at it and one day I started 3 feet away from the hole and then when I was able to do that I went a little farther and a little farther until I CONFIDENTLY knew I was able to putt and not question myself.

I started at the gym again and I am loving it I am a little gym rat and I make time for it because its important to me! MY GOAL FOR YOU is take a sticky note a piece of paper whatever and I want you to write down one goal you have for this week! Along with writing 3 goals you want to accomplish for this month!

Lets Talk about Podcasts

Happy rainy Saturday everyone! If you know me you know I love my sports and I love watching them. I love supporting my friends and my friend Ryan who I go to school with he actually has a podcast and you guys I am loving it.

I love how short it is it is 40 minutes long perfect for working out or just a distraction. Ryan has podcast called ParadiseChat its one of the best podcasts I have ever listened to and guys I am not someone who listens to podcasts but this one I will listen to.

I want to introduce Ryan and his podcast:

Welcome to Paradise Chat, a podcast hosted by two college students, Ryan Kelsey and Mo Ali! Each episode Ryan and Mo interview special guests about their journey to stardom, and how they got to where they are today. From interviewing professional athletes, musicians, and comedians, Paradise Chat is the place that has it all. Make sure you subscribe to stay up to date on the latest podcast episodes, and follow Paradise Chat on instagram @ _paradisechat so you never miss an update.

I hope you guys go listen and support Ryan I love listening to it, to me it doesn’t feel like listening to a podcast it feels like your talking to your friend. No two episodes are the same. My personal favorite episode is: Episode 1 when they are sitting down with a catcher who plays for the Tampa Bay Rays and hearing that story.

You can check out the Podcast on Apple Podcast , YouTube and Spotify here is the link to it from Spotify ! When you listen don’t forget to tag us and let us know which episode is your favorite!

Friday Q&A: Talking about life, Advice, and Meaning

Happy Friday! We’ve had a few days of sunshine in CT and I am not complaining. Technically we have 22 days until the start of spring but who’s counting 😉 I will be glad to celebrate 35 degrees and sunny over 20 degrees and snowy right now. I apologize I didn’t do last weeks Q&A xx

1. Where do you get your strength from?

I am always asked about where I get my strength from, where do you find it, how do you find it? My answer is God gives me strength. I was always taught you never know how strong you are until strong is the only choice you have. I have leaned on that and reminded myself of that.

2. What’s the best piece of advice someone gave you?

This is a loaded question because a lot of people from all different walks of life have given me advice through the years. The piece of advice that has stayed with me through all of these years was my GB’s quote “Play to better your hand.” You’re probably thinking ok thats easy when you’re playing a card game. I do not mean the card game I mean in life. In life we are dealt situations that we didn’t create or want, think about playing cards and your dealt the worst cards and you think your not going to win but as the game moves you get to throw your “bad” cards away, in life we make choices and decisions and sometimes it ends up being the best ones.

3. Did you ever think you would be this strong?

No I never thought at almost 20 this would be the life I have or walked, however life is not easy and its not all rainbows and sunflowers, there is rain storm and hail, however you got to get through the mud to get to the sunflowers. God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers. From being at Boston Children’s Hospital at 3 years old dealing with surgeries gave me empathy, too volunteering at a veterans home and seeing them have no one to visit. Life is what you make and you never know what someone else may be going through.

4. What is one piece of advice you would give your 15 year old self?

If I had to go back in time and tell my 15 year old self what I know now would be you can do it and everything will be ok. There was a time of self doubt just like most of us do, I was dealing with a lot. I would tell my self then would be YOU CAN DO IT, NOTHING WILL STOP YOU! Sometimes the challenges make you a stronger person.

5. What humbles you the most?

Every time I go to Boston Children’s Hospital and I see what these kids and families go through day in and day out! Every time I walk out those doors I thank my lucky stars and God that I am not living in the hospital I am able to go to college, go to the gym, I CAN DO ANYTHING I WANT and these kids can’t. These kids and their families do everything they do with a smile on their face and I am reminded of that day in and day out. Hearing their stories remind me that these kids would do anything to walk in my shoes.

6. If you could relive one moment what would it be?

One moment I would relive hands down would be Tuesday nights at 7pm eating McDonald’s back in the day when they had the caramel sauce with their apples ( I was never allowed to have fast food except this night) and my Poppy and I would watch Dukes of Hazard and I had the biggest crush on Bo! Life was so simple back then and I occasionally will watch the re-runs but its not the same because that was our thing we did together! It was our little “date night” and we would have ice cream and I would fall asleep on his chair curled up next to him. This lasted about 4 years or so give or take this will always be one of my fondest memories with him and I will cherish it forever! I love you Poppy I miss you and this one is for you!!! If you watched the Dukes of Hazard let me know if you were a Bo or Luke fan.

“Just two good ol’ boys, Never meaning no harm Beats all you never saw, Been in trouble with the law Since the day they were born” – Dukes of Hazard theme song beginning

7. What is something your grateful for?

There is a lot for me to be grateful for starting with my family, my health and being able to go to college! I never take a day, a moment, a person anything for granted 2020 taught me that! I am extremely grateful for my: Mom, Memere, Grandpa Bob, and Poppy along with my cousins but I will always be grateful for those four because I wouldn’t have made it through the hardest times with out them. They have been there since Day 1. I will say this never take your loved ones or anybody you love blood or not for granted!

8. What is one goal you have?

If you know me you know I am very much about being goal orientated! I have a lot of goals I mean a lot, pages of goals! One goal that I have that I really want to accomplish is moving to Maine the summer of 2024 (the year I graduate from college) I am the type of person when I say I am gonna do something I will do it, go through hell and high water to do it but I will do it! This is something I really want!

9. Who is someone you look up too ?

I look up to a lot of people, famous or not I have a list but I will give you someone who is famous and someone who is not! A person I look up to that is famous is The Rock I look up to him because of how he started with his company 7bucks because he only had 7 dollars to his name. I look up to my mentor ( you will hear about him soon) I look up to him in soo many ways from starting his own business, moving from Boston to Vermont and then Tennessee he is someone I admire and that I would love to take a page out of his book! He is someone that every person could benefit to having him around!

10. What is the saying you write on your hand, every time I see you there is something on your hand?

I will only write 2 things on my hand 1. Being ALWAYS MORE from Ephesians 3:20, 2. Being It will be ok, you got this. I will write this on my hand when its one of “those days”. I will write ALWAYS MORE when I go to the gym, or if I need a little motivation 9/10 times it will be written with sharpie (so it doesn’t come off) I am someone who believes when its written down or in a tangible format you will believe it! Always More has turned into my “thing” its the only bible verse that I connect with and I know it verbatim! If you see me 9/10 times it will be on my left hand!
